Follow the appropiate procedure to turn off/on UAC based on your OS:

• Windows Vista


• Windows 7





Turn off User Account Control (UAC) - Windows Vista


1. Open up Control Panel( Start —› Control Panel )



2. Type in “UAC” into the search box as shown in Figure 1.





3. Click on “Turn User Account Control (UAC)on or off” as shown in Figure 2.





4. Uncheck the box “Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer”





5. Reboot your computer


In order to turn the UAC on again, follow steps 1 to 5 checking the box at step 4.

1. Go to Start and type in “uac” into the search box as shown in Figure 1.





2. Click on “Change User Account Control Settings” as shown in Figure 2.





3. Move the slider on “Never notify” as shown in Figure 3





4. Reboot your computer


In order to turn the UAC on again, follow steps 1 to 4 moving the slider back on step 3 to its original position.
