The speed or specific light-sensitivity of a camera is rated by ISO numbers such as 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600 etc. The higher the number, the more sensitive it is to light.

Since digital cameras do not use film but use image sensors instead, the ISO equivalent is usually given.

Higher ISO means more sensitive (faster) film.

In a low-light situation, if your camera warning you about the light, you may handle it to set a faster film in order to decreases the shutter speed.

For every ISO increments the light needed halve.
